Access Communications Scholarships - AVAILABLE
Deadline : March 26, 2026
Our Access Communications Doug Alexander Scholarship Program grants $1,000 to 20 Saskatchewan high school graduates every year. Our Access Communications Fred Wagman Entrance Scholarship in Film & Video supports aspiring filmmakers at the University of Regina. And we award scholarships to students at Saskatchewan Polytechnic for their Computer Networking Technician and Telecommunications Network Technician certificate programs.
Agriculture Student Scholarship - AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 1, 2026
The scholarship is open to Saskatchewan Grade 12 students and recent high school/GED graduates (within the last two years). The grand prize scholarship is valued at $6,000. There are also three runner-up scholarships of $3,000 each. Be sure to read the fine print, as you will need either a video or an essay.
Allan Blakeney Entrance Scholarship - AVAILABLE
Deadline March 1, 2026
Applicant must be Saskatchewan resident who is a full-time student beginning their first year in a direct entry program at the University of Saskatchewan. Selection is based on academic achievement and demonstrated interest in government and public service. Apply online with link above.
CAA Saskatchewan Entrance Scholarship – AVAILABLE
Deadline: In March – date varies depending on institute attending
A $2,500 scholarship is available to the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. Applicants must be either a CAA Saskatchewan Member or a child of a Member.
CAA scholarships for Saskatchewan students entering Saskatchewan Polytechnic are $3,750 in total and include the Automotive Service Technician program offered at the Saskatoon campus ($1,250) and at the Moose Jaw campus ($1,250), plus the Auto Body Technician Certificate program ($1,250) offered at the Regina campus. The CAA scholarships at Saskatchewan Polytechnic are available July 15 to September 15 to CAA Saskatchewan Members and non-members.
Canadian Association of Principals Student Leadership Award – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 1, 2026
12 x $250, based on outstanding leadership in the school and community, academic achievement, and recognition of other awards. Local school nominates one candidate, so let SSO know if you are interested and visit the website for application form.
Leonard Foundation – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 31, 2026
For students pursuing a degree in Education or Divinity, there are 140 awards of $1,000 to $1,500 available with preference given to a son/daughter of clergy, teacher, military, engineer or mining. You must also plan on obtaining employment during your free time to help defray the costs and regularly participate in athletic, fitness or militia activities.
Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarships (Grade 11) – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 15, 2026
20 x $500, for grade 11 students demonstrating leadership, financial need, academic performance, and responsibilities outside of school. This is the worksheet for application. Please note that you need a letter of recommendation.
Remax Quest for Excellence – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 6, 2026
The Quest for Excellence scholarship program is an annual program that started in 2000 in Western Canada. Prior to expanding across Canada, the program awarded $16,000 in scholarships to 16 students in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon Territory and Northwest Territory, in the amount of $1,000 per scholarship. Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Amount 1 x $6,000 and 3 x $3,000. Applicant must produce a three-minute video OR write a well-researched fact based 1000-word essay highlighting their 'food story' – the relationship between agriculture and the food they eat (see website for more info). Must show proof of acceptance to a post-secondary institute (in an agriculture-related program) and letter of recommendation of teacher or agricultural industry or community leader.
Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Future Leaders Scholarship Program - AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 31, 2026
SPRA is committed to supporting the next generation of recreation and parks leaders and are focused on growing diversity, perspective, and contributions in the industry. Applicant must be Between the ages of 17 and 30 as of March 31, 2026. Up to $3,000 per approved application. Please see link above for more information.
Saskatchewan Power/Energy Bursaries – AVAILABLE
Deadline: Date varies depending on institute attending
42 industry and trades awards available with amounts varying from $1,000 - $3,000. Students must be enrolled in the following electrical industry-related programs: business administration, management studies, electrical engineering, industrial systems engineering, electronic systems engineering, civil engineering, environmental systems engineering, power engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, civil engineering technology, instrumentation engineering technology, chemistry or business information systems. Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 2026
$1,000. Must complete the Youth Apprenticeship Program Passport and be enrolled in a post-secondary apprenticeship program. To apply, pick up an application form at the SSO.
University of Regina Entrance Awards – AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 15, 2026
$500 - $23,000 in prizes. If you are a potential University of Regina student, check out the plethora of scholarships available.

Hazel Asmussen Fund Scholarship – NOT AVAILABLE

A $1,141.00 scholarship for a student who is pursuing post-secondary education in the fine arts. Applications are available at the SSO.
Kiwanis Club of the Battlefords Scholarship ( combined with Mel Osborne Fellow Scholarship) – NOT AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 31, 2024
This $500 - $1000 scholarship will be given to a student with acceptable grades, good character, financial need and participation in student activities and community service involvement. He/She must also be pursuing further studies at a post-secondary institute. Please write a letter outlining how you fit the criteria. Applications are available at the SSO.
Peter Lewochko Scholarship – NOT AVAILABLE
Deadline: CLOSED
The amount available in 2021 is $7,934.00. The quality of the applications will determine the amount received by the successful applicant(s). For students pursuing engineering, agriculture or education programs in the fall. They must have a 75% average and demonstrate financial need. Applications are available at the SSO. Please note that applications MUST be in three days prior to due date as they MUST be delivered to the sponsor no later than 5pm on March 31, 2022.
Queen's Diamond Jubilee Scholarship – NOT AVAILABLE
Deadline: March 15, 2024
$1000 for demonstration of leadership, financial need, responsibilities outside of school and academic performance. This is a nominated scholarship, meaning you MUST request nomination from the SSO and then complete this form.
